Dive into the data comparing our 14.6″ Rifle Length .223 Wylde barrel (1/8 twist) and the Criterion Core 14.5″ Mid Length .223 Wylde barrel (1/8 twist). In this data set we gathered velocity data, tested accuracy and precision groups with many popular .223 Rem and 5.56 factory loaded ammunition as well has some hand loaded rounds.

Testing Protocol:

  • 5 round, 100 yard groups off the bench, seated with a rear bag and Atlas Bipod
  • Velocity data gathered with LabRadar
  • Shot size data gathered with Ballistic-X
  • Lower Receiver remained constant throughout the velocity and accuracy portion:
    • Carbine spring
    • H1 buffer
    • Larue MBT 2S Trigger
  • Optic (March 1.5-15x42mm, MTR-5 reticle) remained constant throughout the velocity and accuracy portion
  • SOLGW BCG and Radian Raptor SD remained constant throughout the velocity and accuracy portion
  • Rearden R2S & Rearden Atlas HUB Adapter remained constant throughout the velocity and accuracy portion
  • FOR Systems Monarch 7.62 suppressor remained constant throughout the velocity and accuracy portion
